How are passwords generated?
Your browser's cryptographic random number generator creates them on your device. Generated passwords are not sent to or stored on Q-bic servers.
Can I generate a password without symbols?
Turn off Symbols under Character types to generate a password without symbols. You can also choose uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and numbers separately to meet a service's rules.
Can I make a 12- or 16-character password?
Use the length buttons to choose one quickly, or use the slider for 8 to 100 characters. Shorter passwords have fewer possible combinations, so allow extra length where the service permits it.
What is an English word passphrase?
The tool randomly chooses four to eight English words and joins them with hyphens. Use the words it selects instead of a familiar phrase you make up yourself.
Are generated passwords saved?
They are not sent to or stored on Q-bic servers. Copy passwords you need into a password manager. A copied password may remain on your device's clipboard.
